Fundraising Bash for

Silver Thistle

Pipes and Drums

“A Midsummer Pipes Dream”

at the Nutty Brown Cafe

Sunday, August 16

6 pm - 9 pm

Spend an evening in the rolling hills of Scotland right here in Austin!  Enjoy the beautiful Hill Country setting surrounded by live oaks while you tap your foot to the music of Gaelic folk musicians and dancers, and cheer on Silver Thistle Pipes and Drums as they prepare for another season of competition and performances!

$10 Admission. Food and drink are available for purchase from the Nutty Brown Cafe and Amphitheatre. Also check out our Tshirts, CDs, raffle, silent auction, and much, much more!  Tickets are available now at Silver Thistle or from your friendly Silver Thistle Band Member.  Some of the performers include:

Silver Thistle Pipes and Drums, featuring the stirring sounds of the Great Highland Bagpipes and the resounding beat of snare, bass and tenor drums. Come listen to both traditional and non-traditional sets of reels, jigs, strathspeys and marches, including our newest competition piece.

Silver Thistle Alternative Band, with smallpipes and a variety of percussion, provides a different flavor for some of the traditional Scottish tunes.

Sarah Dinan is a natural vocal talent whose clear alto voice is perfect for the lilting songs and haunting ballads she sings. Sarah and her band are a Celtic tour de force that perform a repertoire of engaging songs and tunes from Ireland, Scotland and Brittany. Come discover what critics and audiences across America are calling 'refreshing,' 'awesome' and 'majestic'!
